The City of Sault Ste. Marie is advising electors in Ward 4 and 5 to watch for their revised Voter Notification Card arriving in the mail. The replacement card is yellow and contains the correct voting location information.
The revised cards are being mailed to residents in Wards 4 and 5 after an issue was identified that caused some original Voter Notification Cards to display incorrect voting locations. Electors who receive a yellow card should refer to it when planning where to vote and should safely dispose of their previous white card. Electors who have already cast their ballot in the 2026 Municipal Election can disregard this notice.
Electors do not need to wait for their revised Voter Notification Card to confirm their voting location. Voting locations can be verified online at saultstemarie.ca/votinglocation or by contacting the City Clerk’s Office at 705-759-5388.
A Voter Notification Card is not required to vote. Electors must provide identification showing their name and qualifying address to receive a ballot.
Voting Day is Monday, October 26, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Electors can vote at the location assigned to them based on their address. The final Advance Voting opportunity is Saturday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Bay Street Active Living Centre 55+, located at 619 Bay Street.
