• Quality control on all City construction projects.
• Co-ordination of the Ground Water Monitoring Program for the Sault Ste. Marie landfill site.
• Co-ordination of engineering work related to operation of the landfill site.
• Carrying out a sanitary sewer flow metering program.
• Administration of the $4 million Wastewater Treatment Plant contract with PUC.
• Carrying out the annual collection of data to update the City’s Asset management System for municipal infrastructure.
• Approving and coordinating the utility work of various public utility companies such as P.U.C., Gas, and telephone.
• Carrying out sewer camera work for Public Works and Engineering projects.
• Inspecting sanitary sewer mains with a camera to identify problems.
• Investigating environmental concerns originating from the Ministry of the Environment and the general public.
