The City of Sault Ste. Marie is committed to creating inclusive spaces for all residents. We’re excited to offer a youth water wheelchair at the following locations:
- Bellevue Park Splash Pad
- Manzo Park Splash Pad
- Pointe Des Chenes Beach
This accessible wheelchair is designed specifically for children with mobility disabilities. It provides a safe and comfortable way to enjoy water features. It features a mesh seat and stable wheels for easy movement in splash pad and beach environments.
Please Note:
- There is no lift on site.
- An attendant must be provided by the user to assist with transfers and pushing the chair.
Location and Hours of Operation
Pointe Des Chenes
Located near the restrooms on the asphalt path, close to the beach mats
The beach wheelchair is available daily from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Manzo Park
Located in the accessible changeroom cabana near the splash pad. Available weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and weekends12:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Bellevue Park
Located in the accessible changeroom cabana near the splash pad. Available daily from 9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
How to Reserve
The water wheelchair is available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.
To reserve, simply complete the online registration form. More information will be emailed to you once the form is completed.

Your information will not be shared and will be used only for registration to use the water wheelchair. Forms will be reviewed Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
