Pointe Des Chenes Day Park (Beach)

The Pointe Des Chenes day park is a popular destination situated on the shores of Lake Superior, located west of Sault Ste. Marie.

The long sandy beach is the highlight for many who visit the area. There is a day use area with large grass lawns, picnic sites, picnic shelters and washrooms.

The City’s newest sporting opportunity is also available at Pointe Des Chenes Day Park. The Disc Golf course is now open to the public where you can take advantage of the beautiful views and landscapes while watching your disc sail through the air, hearing the chains rattle with the perfect shot. Scorecards are available by searching Pointe Des Chenes Disc Golf Park, on the UDisc App or on discgolfscene.com.

Beginning June 25, Sault Transit will offer service to Pointe Des Chenes day park on Saturdays and Sundays until Labour Day. Two buses per day will operate from the downtown terminal to the Northern Avenue transfer point (NTP) at Sault College and then to Pointe Des Chenes (PDC).
