City Landfill
The City landfill is located at 402 Fifth Line East.

Notice:
During the Provincial lockdown, the landfill open for essential service only. The landfill public drop off facility is monitored by security to ensure that COVID-19 protocols for social distancing and masking are being followed. The public is asked to respect these protocols for the safety of all members of the public, and landfill employees. Security will be monitoring and enforcing masking and social distancing protocols at the public drop off. The public is asked to respect these protocols when using the landfill facility.
For the safety of staff and visitors, only two persons per vehicle and no children or pets. Only one vehicle at the drop off bins at a time. Expect delays.

Monday to Friday - 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Landfill Fees
Only debit, Visa, Mastercard or American Express are being accepted at this time.
General Public
$11 Gate Fee – 300 kg or less ($7.70 per 100 kgs over 300 kgs). Applies to all loads.
Commercial
$11 Gate Fee – Minimum charge ($7.70 per 100 kgs over 145 kgs or $77 per metric tonne).
Tires
Passenger car tires per tire/tire on rim - No charge (Limit of 10 tires). Gate fee still applies.

Refrigeration Units
No charge if the freezer/refrigerator/humidifier/air conditioner, etc. has a certified sticker confirming that the freon is removed (tagged). If a certified sticker is not present (untagged), the landfill will charge $25 plus a user fee of $11.

Additional Information
Please note: the landfill does accept brush, branches, trees and wood at the designated brush dump area.
By regulation of the Ministry of the Environment and the Highway Traffic Act, all material hauled on City streets to the landfill or depot(s) must be properly secured or covered with a tarp.
