The City of Sault Ste. Marie is now accepting applications for the 2027 early intake of the Arts and Culture Assistance Program (ACAP). Applications are open until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2026.
ACAP provides funding to support Sault Ste. Marie’s arts and culture community, and helps bring creative projects, programs, and events to life across the city. The program supports a wide range of activities, including performances, festivals and events, visual and public art projects, exhibitions, cultural programming, heritage initiatives, and other creative projects that contribute to a vibrant arts community.
ACAP helps local artists, groups, and organizations create meaningful experiences, increase access to arts and culture, showcase local talent, and encourage collaboration across the community.
New and returning applicants are encouraged to review the program guidelines and meet with City staff before applying to ensure their project or initiative meets eligibility requirements. The City is offering online information sessions via Zoom to help applicants learn more about ACAP, eligibility, application requirements, and the funding process. Upcoming sessions include:

- Wednesday, October 7: 4-5 p.m.
- Thursday, October 8: 12-1 p.m.
