Following the success of its inaugural year, The Sault’s Community Rock Band is returning for its second annual performance, bringing musicians and music lovers from across the community together for a one-of-a-kind collective performance. Pizzafest and the Sault’s Community Rock Band will take place Saturday, October 3, 2026, from noon to 7 p.m. at the Downtown Plaza.
This year’s featured song is Great Big Sea’s “Ordinary Day,” selected for its uplifting message and reminder that, with the right frame of mind, everything will be alright.
Musicians of all backgrounds and skill levels are invited to take part, including guitarists, drummers, keyboardists, and singers. Participation is free, and registered performers will receive the music and event details in advance. Musicians can register online at https://tinyurl.com/ordinarydayssm.
The Community Rock Band will be one of many activities featured at Pizzafest, offering a full day of music, food, family entertainment, and community activities in the Downtown Plaza. Event highlights include:
- The Pizza Selfie Wall: Capture the moment with friends and family at a dedicated pizza-themed photo station.
- Pizza and Food Passport: Sample pizza from participating vendors, take part in the Kids’ Pizza Passport, and enjoy a special documentary on pizza culture presented by SooToday.
- Live Musical Performances: Enjoy performances by Vita Tassone and the Sault Symphony Orchestra.
