The City of Sault Ste. Marie is advising residents and motorists of upcoming road closures to accommodate rail crossing repairs and asphalt patching work.
Pine Street Rail Crossing Closure:
Beginning Wednesday, September 16, Pine Street will be closed between Wellington Street East and Breton Road for approximately two days while crews complete repairs to the rail crossing.
South Market Rail Crossing Closure:
Beginning Thursday, September 17, the northbound ramp at the South Market rail crossing, located between Trunk Road and South Market, will be closed for one day to complete asphalt patching work.
Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow additional travel time. Pedestrians and drivers are reminded to exercise caution in the area and follow all posted signage and traffic control measures.
