Downtown Sault Ste. Marie Street Parties return this summer, transforming Queen Street into a vibrant celebration of local music, entertainment, food, beverages, and community spirit.
Held once a month from June through September, the Street Parties will showcase a different section of downtown at each event giving guests a chance to experience the energy, culture and diversity of downtown Sault Ste. Marie.
2026 Downtown Street Party Schedule
- June 25 – Queen Street from Pim Street to Brock Street
- July 16 – Queen Street from Brock Street to Elgin Street
- August 20 – Queen Street from Elgin Street to Dennis Street
- September 17 – Queen Street from Dennis Street to Gore Street
All Street Parties are from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Throughout the season, attendees can enjoy liver performances from local artists. Featured acts include Vito Tassone, The Steeltown Playboys, Angry Joe and the Growlers, Half Scoundies, Rob Speers and the Barbarians, Cloud Bandits, BookcluB, Stumpy Coldwater Trio, Brendan Hodgson, Jay Case, Matthew James, Mike Haggith and Dos Amigos, with additional performers announced in the coming weeks.
Guests can also enjoy licensed beverage areas hosted by local businesses and community partners. Participating hosts throughout the season include Northern Superior Brew Co., Paint & Decor Concepts, OutSpoken Brewing, and Soo Falls Brewing Co. offering local beverages at each event.
In addition to live entertainment, every Street Party will feature activities for all ages. June’s event will include the Climb N Fun 32-foot rope course, while July will feature interactive exhibits from Entomica, Nicole Does Trivia and a classic movie screening presented by Reel Film Forum. August and September will offer inflatable attractions and jumbo board games.
“We’re excited to welcome the community downtown for four evenings of live entertainment, local food and beverage experiences, family activities, and summer fun,” said Josh Ingram, Supervisor of the Downtown Plaza. “Each event will highlight a different section of the downtown core and celebrate the people and businesses that make our city unique.”
