Sault Ste. Marie was incorporated as a City in 1912, although its rich history dates back to the 1600’s.

Situated at the heart of the Great Lakes, along the banks of the St. Marys River, Sault Ste. Marie is an international port of entry to the United States and continues to be an important destination for business, trade and travel.

Known as being the ‘Friendliest City in Algoma’, Sault Ste. Marie is one of the most beautiful and exciting northern cities in Canada.
