Vehicle owners in violation of parking regulations at parking lots and meters will be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense.
Payment of parking fines can be made online below using Visa or MasterCard.
Payments can also be made in-person at the Civic Centre – Central Collections – Level 2, 99 Foster Drive or at the Transit Division office located at 111 Huron Street.
Accepted methods of payment include debit, cash or cheque. Payments are also accepted by mail.
Enforcement
The municipality contracts with the Corps of Commissionaires to enforce parking in the downtown area. Sault Ste. Marie Police Services patrols and enforces on-street parking regulations throughout the rest of the city.
Special constables, approved through by-law, enforce parking regulations on private property within the city, including:
- Station, Cambrian and Market Malls
- Sault College
- Algoma University
- Sault Area Hospital
- Roberta Bondar Place
- Sault Airport
Parking infractions are monitored and enforced proactively by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and NORPRO Security, a division of N1 Solutions Inc.

Payments made within seven days of the infraction notice are eligible for the early payment category.
