The City of Sault Ste. Marie advises of the following service changes for Family Day operations:
The following facilities will be closed on Monday, February 16:
- Cemetery office
- City Landfill
- GFL Memorial Gardens
- John Rhodes arena
- Northern Community Centre arena, walking track and community space
- The Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site
- Fire Services Administrative offices
- GFL Memorial Gardens administrative office and box office
- Public Works and Engineering office – 128 Sackville Road. For 24-hour emergency service requests, call 705-759-5201.
- Ronald A. Irwin Civic Centre
- Sault Transit main office
- Bay Street Active Living Centre 55+ and the Northern Community Centre Active 55+
Garbage and Recycling Collection
There is no garbage or recycling pickup on Monday, February 16. Both garbage and recycling will be one day late for the remainder of the week.
Regular garbage collection day and week of February 16:
Monday collection will be on Tuesday
Tuesday collection will be on Wednesday
Wednesday collection will be on Thursday
Thursday collection will be on Friday
Friday collection will be on Saturday

The following facilities and services will operate on Monday, February 16:
- Outdoor boarded skating rinks and ice pads – Art Jennings Speed Skating Oval, Anna McCrea, Merrifield, and Esposito rinks and the Clergue Park Skating Trail and the Down Plaza will be open.
- James L. McIntyre Centennial and the North Branch Library will be open from noon to 4 p.m.
- John Rhodes Pool parent and child and lane swim will be open from 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Public Swim from 1:15 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- Transit Service: On Monday, February 16, an hourly schedule will be followed with the first bus departing the terminal at 6:15 a.m. and last bus departing the terminal at 11:15 p.m. Parabus service will run as usual. There is no Community Bus. For transit information, call 705-759-5438.
