Queen Street between March Street and Elgin Street will be closed for six weeks beginning Monday, August 26, 2024. The closure is required to replace the underground sanitary sewer, water mains, and appurtenances as part of the Queen Street Improvement Project. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Motorists are advised to take caution in the area and obey all signage. Pedestrians are asked to find an alternative route as some sidewalks may be closed.

The City of Sault Ste. Marie thanks its citizens for their patience and cooperation during this temporary road closure. For the latest updates on the Queen Street Improvement project visit www.saultstemarie.ca/queenstreet
