Northern Ontario Business Awards return to Sault Ste. Marie

High calibre business leaders from across the north will converge on the city Thursday, September 26, 2019 as the highly anticipated Northern Ontario Business Awards (NOBA) return to Sault Ste. Marie. Mayor Christian Provenzano will host the event at the Quattro Hotel and Conference Centre with Abbas Homayed, Vice President and Publisher of Northern Ontario Business. 
“With a rich history spanning more than three decades, this prestigious awards program has a tradition of celebrating and activating business in a different Northern Ontario city each year,” said Homayed. “It’s been five years since we were last in the Sault and we are thrilled to be back to celebrate the winning achievements of outstanding Northern businesses, with multiple winners coming from the host city.”
The outstanding contributions of business leaders are recognized with awards in 10 categories: Company of the Year (1 to 15 employees, 16 to 50 employees and 51+ employees), Entrepreneur of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Entrepreneurial Community, First Nations Business Award of Excellence, Innovation, Export and Judges’ Choice. A Networking Reception will take place Wednesday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Machine Shop, providing a social opportunity to meet winners and sponsors and explore new business opportunities.
