Detached accessory buildings, such as garages and storage sheds, vary in size and area. The requirements and construction guidelines that are provided are to assist you in designing and constructing a detached garage or storage shed which will comply with the regulations.

Guide to Detached Residential Accessory Buildings booklet, or you are not familiar with the regulations which may be applicable, it is recommended that you contact someone who is knowledgeable in this area such as a qualified designer.
The information provided in the booklet is based on the minimum standards set out in the
Ontario Building Code and
City Zoning By-Law.
