Shape the future of Transit in Sault Ste. Marie

Wednesday, March 12, 2025

The City of Sault Ste. Marie has launched a Transit Optimization Study to assess the design and efficiency of Sault Ste. Marie Transit Services.

The study will provide a review of the City’s transit network, including:
  • Assessing the effectiveness of current bus routes and on-demand services in response to changing ridership and demographics.
  • Evaluating the potential relocation of the Dennis Street terminal and its impacts.
  • Providing recommendations to enhance efficiency while maintaining safe and reliable service.
An information session will take place on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Ronald A. Irwin Civic Centre (99 Foster Drive—Russ Ramsay Room Level 3). A formal presentation will take place at 5:30 p.m. Both transit users and non-users are encouraged to participate to ensure the transit system is aligned with the City’s priorities and future needs.
