Shape the future of Transit in Sault Ste. Marie

The City of Sault Ste. Marie has launched a Transit Optimization Study to assess the design and efficiency of Sault Ste. Marie Transit Services.
The study will provide a review of the City’s transit network, including:

Assessing the effectiveness of current bus routes and on-demand services in response to changing ridership and demographics.

Evaluating the potential relocation of the Dennis Street terminal and its impacts.

Providing recommendations to enhance efficiency while maintaining safe and reliable service.
An information session will take place on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Ronald A. Irwin Civic Centre (99 Foster Drive—Russ Ramsay Room Level 3). A formal presentation will take place at 5:30 p.m. Both transit users and non-users are encouraged to participate to ensure the transit system is aligned with the City’s priorities and future needs.
