The City of Sault Ste. Marie is extending its application deadline for any individuals interested in serving on boards and committees. Interested candidates can learn more at

Seeking 10 individuals to provide recommendations, advice, and information to City Council on the needs of diverse, equity-deserving communities in Sault Ste. Marie impacted by racism and hate. Interested applicants are asked to outline volunteer experience, community involvement and to describe lived experience, knowledge, and professional background as it relates to anti-racism and anti-oppression; and how it may support the work of this committee.
Personal information is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act and will be held in strict confidence to be used solely for the purpose stated above.
Applications will be accepted by the City Clerk’s Office until 4:30 p.m. Friday, February 2, 2024.
