Community Bus

Notice: The safety and well-being of transit customers and staff is paramount. As part of a phased approach, Transit Services has implemented further service modifications. The changes took effect beginning at 6 a.m. Tuesday, September 8 and include the following:
  • Transit has returned to full service operating on the half hour. All regular hours are in effect.
  • The Community bus leaves the terminal at 6:30 a.m.
  • Sunday hour service remains the same. On-Demand transit continues to operate as normal on Sunday evenings.
  • Customers are reminded to board and pay through the front door and exit through the rear door. If you have a mobility aide, or otherwise require the ramp, you can continue to use the front door for entry and exit.
  • Transit Services has increased the amount of passengers. Seats will continue to be blocked in accordance with the recommended physical distancing guidelines.
  • Passengers must wear masks with the exception of children under the age of two, those with respiratory or medical conditions that make it difficult to wear a mask or those who have difficulty putting a mask on themselves.
  • The Transit Terminal is open as per Algoma Public Health regulations (exercise safe social distancing as precautionary measure against Covid-19).
    Canteen Hours: Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. - 5 p.m.
    Saturday: 6 a.m. - 4 p.m.
    Sunday: 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.
