The City of Sault Ste. Marie reminds residents of schedule changes for the Thanksgiving Day holiday on Monday, October 9, 2023.
The following facilities and services are closed Monday, October 9:

Garbage and Recycling Collection
There is no garbage, leaf and yard waste or recycling pickup on Monday, October 9. Collection will be one day late following the holiday.

Leaf and Yard Waste is collected curbside on your scheduled garbage day bi-weekly. The landfill also collects Leaf and Yard Waste in compostable paper bags for free. The final two weeks of leaf and yard waste collection are weather permitting (week of November 5 collection B and week of November 12 collection A). The Household Hazardous Waste Depot will close for the season on October 21, 2023.

The Landfill will close on Saturdays for the season on October 23, 2023.
Marina

The Roberta Bondar Marina and Bellevue Marina are closed for the season
Pool

The John Rhodes Pool is open Sunday, October 8 and Monday, October 9 for holiday hours. Parent and child/lane swim 11:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Public Swim 1:15 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Transit
-
There will be no regular Transit service. Parabus service will operate Monday, October 9.
