Sault Ste. Marie bus terminal to re-open

Friday, October 16, 2020

The City of Sault Ste. Marie is pleased to re-open its Dennis Street Bus Terminal on October 19, 2020. In compliance with Provincial Guidelines for opening facilities and in consultation with Algoma Public Health, the following modifications will be in effect:

  • Seating will be spaced appropriately to ensure 2 meters of physical distancing is maintained. Customers will notice that some benches have been removed or marked accordingly.
  • Mandatory masking will be required with the exception of those with respiratory or medical conditions or those who have difficulty putting a mask on themselves.
  • Only 10 people will be allowed in the terminal at one time in order to comply with physical distancing measures. This will be enforced by the Transit Inspector, concession worker and security.
  • Food purchased from the concession must be consumed outside the terminal as per public health regulations.
  • Social Distancing stickers will be placed in all areas. For everyone’s safety, customers are asked to respect protocols and obey signage at all times.
The City of Sault Ste. Marie looks forward to welcoming the community back safely to the Dennis Street Bus Terminal. For inquires call 705-759-5438 or email parking@cityssm.on.ca.
