Community partners kick off the holiday season

The Queenstown family invites you to kick off the holiday season with extended Moonlight Magic and the 12 Days to Light up the Holidays. Join us every Thursday and Friday from now until the end of December for late night shopping at participating local merchants and the chance to take advantage of great deals and discounts.
“We know the holidays will look different this year but we can still come together as a community to support our local merchants,” said Ashlyn McMillan, Downtown Association's acting manager.
“Shopping local has never been more important and downtown Sault Ste. Marie has something for everyone on your list. I would like to thank the Downtown Association retailers, the City of City of Sault Ste. Marie, PUC Services and all of our community partners for their efforts in developing alternative arrangements to spread some joy and holiday sprit during the festive season.”
In addition to late night downtown shopping, local merchants will light their storefronts and seasonal displays will charm Queen Street. Light installations will also be located at various sites including the Ermatinger∙Clergue National Historic Site, the future site of the Downtown Plaza, Paul Mall and the Outspoken Brewery alley and a local favourite, the community tree in front of the courthouse. Keep your receipts from any purchase made at a downtown store or service area and take a selfie at your favourite #local #downtown spot for a chance to win gift certificates to your favourite businesses.
