Notice of Nominations – District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board

The City of Sault Ste. Marie is administering the 2022 election of two members to the District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board from the unorganized area within the planning area for the Sault North Planning Board (Sault Locality).
The 2022 election will be conducted by vote-by-mail. Election day is Monday, October 24, 2022.
A person may be nominated for the office of school board trustee if they are a Canadian citizen, at least 18 years of age and are:

A permanent resident of the Sault Locality;

An owner of property in the Sault Locality; or
-
The spouse of an owner or tenant of property in the Sault Locality.
Before incurring any expenses or collecting any money, candidates must file a nomination paper on the prescribed form with the filing fee of $100 (cash, debit or certified cheque) with the City Clerk, City of Sault Ste. Marie, at the Ronald A. Irwin Civic Centre, 99 Foster Drive, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Appointments are encouraged to ensure availability

Nominations will be accepted between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday (excepting statutory holidays) until Friday, August 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
