Information session scheduled to discuss Rosedale Park revitalization project

Thursday, May 12, 2022

The City of Sault Ste. Marie is committed to creating a vibrant and attractive parks and recreation system that meets the varying needs of our community and accommodates a range of uses by our citizens. The Rosedale Park Revitalization Project is a multifaceted project, which will provide year-round play opportunities for all ages. As part of this project, trees and benches will be added throughout the park area and a pathway will connect the park to the parking lot, improving accessibility to the site.

City staff are hosting a public information session regarding the Rosedale Park Revitalization Project. Participants may review and offer feedback on matters such as tree and landscaping plans, swing sets, play structures for children ages 2-5 and 5-12 years old, sand and play areas and expansion of the berm for tobogganing. Join us as we continue to enhance our parks.

Date: Tuesday, May 17, 2022
Time: 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. (drop-in anytime)
Location: Former Rosedale Public School (90 Chapple Avenue)

All are welcome to attend the public information session and share comments and suggestions with City staff. The City would like to recognize Kiwanis Club of Lakeshore, Childcare Algoma and Kiwanis Club of Sault Ste. Marie for the donations to the project totaling $140,000.
