Public Input Session - National AccessAbility Week

Tuesday, May 28, 2019
This week, May 26 to June 1 marks National AccessAbility Week. It is a time when accessibility and inclusion is promoted across communities and workplaces and when the contributions of Canadians with disabilities is celebrated.
In recognition of this week, the City of Sault Ste. Marie is consulting with the public and persons with disabilities to determine priorities for barrier removal, multiyear accessibility plans and to receive feedback on accessible transit services – specifically replacement, renovation and design of bus stops and shelters.
A public input session to receive community feedback on these items will be held on
Friday, May 31 from 12 – 3 p.m. in the Russ Ramsay Board Room, Level 3, Civic Centre, 99 Foster Drive. Presentation beginning at noon.
Individuals unable to attend the input session and wanting to provide barrier removal input may forward comments to Nancie Scott, City of Sault Ste. Marie Accessibility Coordinator, by phone at 705-541-7310 or email to
