Application period opens for MYAC Leadership Scholarship

The Sault Ste. Marie Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council (MYAC) is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the 2025 MYAC Leadership Scholarship.
As part of its ongoing commitment to empowering youth and promoting equity, MYAC will award two scholarships of $1,000 each. One scholarship is designated for an applicant who identifies as a marginalized person, while the other is available to applicants who do not identify as marginalized or choose not to disclose.
“MYAC continues to lead by example in championing youth voices and breaking down barriers to opportunity,” said Mayor Matthew Shoemaker. “These scholarships are an excellent way to support students who are working hard and planning for their future. I encourage all eligible students to apply.”
Students residing in Sault Ste. Marie who are entering post-secondary education are eligible to apply. The application deadline is July 14, 2025, and scholarship recipients will be announced in August 2025. The application form is available
online.
