HHW to open July 13, City Landfill to begin Saturday schedule

The City of Sault Ste. Marie’s Household Hazardous Waste Depot (HHW) located at 402 Fifth Line East will open for the season on July 13, 2020. Additionally, the City Landfill will remain open on Saturdays starting on July 18, 2020.
HHW and City Landfill Hours of Operation
Monday to Saturday - 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. (July 13 to October 24 – tentative)
At the HHW, items such as paint, varnishes, pesticides, pool chemicals, drain cleaners, motor oil, antifreeze, propane cylinders and electronics are accepted. For a complete list of acceptable waste visit
