The City of Sault Ste. Marie is launching a Housing Grant Program – a new initiative designed to increase housing options and meet the growing needs of the community. This program provides financial support to homeowners, property developers, and non-profit organizations to create rental suites or build multi-unit developments.
The Housing Grant Program offers funding for a variety of projects that result in new residential units, including the addition of secondary suites, basement apartments, and rental units to existing homes. Multi-unit housing developments are also eligible for support, as well as affordable housing projects led by non-profit organizations.
