Free downtown parking this holiday season

The City of Sault Ste. Marie Transit department is pleased to provide free downtown parking this holiday season. From December 16 to December 31, 2024, free parking is available at all meters, pay-and-display units, and two-hour municipal parking lots in the downtown area.
The exemption does not include parking in accessible spaces without a permit, identified no-parking areas, fire routes, and private lots. Motorists should respect the 2-hour limit for on-street parking as a courtesy to other shoppers and those living there.
