Automated Speed Enforcement
Tuesday, August 13, 2024
The City of Sault Ste. Marie is inviting the public to provide input into automated speed enforcement (ASE). ASE is a system that uses a camera and a speed measurement device to help enforce speed limits in school zones and community safety zones. If a vehicle exceeds the posted speed limit in an ASE-enforced area, the ASE system captures an image that is stored and reviewed by a Provincial Offences Officer.
The City is hosting two open houses for the public to attend and provide feedback regarding ASE.
