Project Description
This call for Indigenous Artists or Artist teams is for the creation of a piece of permanent public art to be installed at the Northern Community Centre at 556 Goulais Avenue in Sault Ste. Marie, ON. This new public art installation will celebrate and honour the rich and important heritage, culture, and artistic traditions of the Anishinaabe people who have been here since time immemorial. As such, this opportunity is open to local, national, and international new and professional Artists of all disciplines with connection to Bawaating and the region. Artists must be from a verifiable Indigenous nation.

Short-listed Artist(s) Fees: $500 (includes HST)
Artist(s) Fees: $10,000 (includes HST)
Application Deadline: Friday November 8, 2024 at 4:30pm
Project Installation: Completed by February 2025
