JRCC Pool Information
Aquabics is a low impact aqua fitness class for all ages! Classes are led by our trained instructors, however, participants may exercise at their own pace.
Lane swimmers should swim in loop style in the proper lane (Slow, Medium or Fast) in order to maximize the use of each lane.
Parent and child swimmers play and swim in our beachfront or lap pool. Children not potty trained must wear a swim diaper.
Public swimmers are invited to come and play in our all of our pools. Diving board & rope are open for use! See our admissions policy for parent to child ratios.
Sensitive swimmers are invited to come and play in our all of our pools. No diving board, rope, waterslide or pool features are used during the sensitive swimming period. To maintain a sensory sensitive environment, no music will be played during this swim. All are welcomed. Parent and child ratios must be maintained.
Admission Policy
Children under seven years of age must be directly supervised (within arms reach) of a parent/guardian 16 years of age or older and are limited to the two small pools (no big pool). The acceptable ratio is one parent/guardian 16 years of age or older to two children under seven.
*Children ages 7- 13 receive a red bracelet at the front desk*
Children between the ages of seven to nine must pass the facility swim alone test. The test involves swimming one width of the big pool (20 meters) using a front or back stroke; demonstrating comfort in the water. If they cannot pass, they must be directly supervised (within arms reach) of a parent/guardian 14 years of age or older. The acceptable ratio is one parent/guardian 14 years of age or older to four children between the ages of seven to nine.
Children ages 10 years or older may swim without adult supervision.
Special needs individuals of any age should be accompanied by an individual knowledgeable of their condition and responsible for their supervision.
