Multi-family Residential

Notice: Beginning January 1 2021, the City of Sault Ste. Marie will no longer offer solid waste collection service for the multi-family sector (5-units or greater). This service will now have to be arranged through a private provider at the discretion of the property owner or property management.

Multi-residential apartments with hoppers will be collected by Green for Life Environmental Corporation once per week as follows:
 

• 05-12 units = 1.5 cubic metres (2 cubic yards) of refuse
• 13-20 units = 2.25 cubic metres (3 cubic yards) of refuse
• 21-25 units = 3 cubic metres (4 cubic yards) of refuse
• 26-50 units = 4.5 cubic metres (6 cubic yards) of refuse
• 51-56 units = 6.75 cubic metres (9 cubic yards) of refuse
• 56+ units = 9 cubic metres (12 cubic yards) of refuse

Multi-family units of 4 units or less with curbside collection are also subject to bag limits (2 bags/containers per unit).

Note: Flourescent lights are to be disposed of at the Household Hazardous Waste Depot.
