Community Centres

Financial Assistance for Sports Competitions

Individuals or not-for-profit sports teams who have qualified to represent Northern Ontario, Ontario or Canada at a national or international competition are eligible to apply for funding to assist in the direct cost of attending the competition.

Hub Trail

The John Rowswell Hub Trail is a 25 km multi-use non-motorized trail system that connects many significant points of interest including the waterfront walkway, Bellevue Park, Algoma University, Sault College, the Sault Area Hospital and Fort Creek Conservation Area. Marinas

The City of Sault Ste. Marie owns and operates two marinas, the Roberta Bondar Park Transient Boater Marina and the Bellevue Marina.

The Roberta Bondar Park Tent Pavilion is an outdoor venue that can accommodate a variety of special events including concerts, festivals, fundraising activities, ceremonies and wedding receptions.

Special Occasion Permits

Special Occasion Permits are for the sale and service of beverage alcohol at special occasions such as weddings, charity fundraisers, receptions etc. View the facilities eligible for these permits and their hours of operation.

Strathclair Dog Park

The Strathclair Dog Park is located at 962 Second Line East - entrance to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society. The park consists of 3.5 acres of fenced in land, divided into two designated areas - one area for small dogs (25 lbs. and under) and one for large dogs.
