Sports Hall of Fame Announces 2017 Inductees

Mayor Christian Provenzano, City Council and the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee would like to announce the newest members to be inducted into the Sault Ste. Marie Sports Hall of Fame.

Co-founded Soo Ski Runners - Head Coach 1967-2012

Coached: Brigette Acton, Seve Roch, John Mealey, Lauren/Amy Lattimer, Bob Real, and Mac/BJ Marcoux

Mentored coaches such as Kip Harrington - World Cup Tech Team Head Coach
MIKE LEBEL - Baseball - Coach/Builder

Founder of Great Lakes Baseball League

President of Soo Minor Baseball for 25 years

Coached 6 Provincial Baseball Championship Teams from Mosquito to Junior and 4 Finalist Teams

Players coached have gone on to play University/College/Professional baseball
A formal ceremony to recognize this year's Sports Hall of Fame inductees will take place in June.
