City launches online Building Permit Services

The City of Sault Ste. Marie Building Division has launched an online inspection-booking program. The tool allows building permit holders and contractors to scan a unique QR code on their building permits using a mobile device or log in online through the Building Permit Services website. The mobile service assists with several aspects of the building permit process including scheduling inspections and viewing the status of inspection results online.
"We have listened to the needs of our stakeholders and have streamlined processes to improve and enhance service delivery," said Freddie Pozzebon, Chief Building Official. "The current system has been tailored to the needs of the City’s Building Division while enhancing the efficiency for both the Building Division and the construction industry in Sault Ste. Marie."
