In this Canada 150 year, the City of Sault Ste. Marie is proud to support Multiculturalism Day celebrations taking place on June 27, 2017. Mayor Christian Provenzano has proclaimed June 27 as Multiculturalism Day in the City of Sault Ste. Marie. This day is dedicated to all Canadians to celebrate and appreciate the contributions of the various multicultural groups to their community.

The Sault Ste. Marie Multiculturalism Day celebrations will feature diverse cultural performances at the Centennial Library and the Art Gallery of Algoma on June 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Mayor Provenzano will be in attendance to welcome guests. Family activities will be available including games, world art exhibits, food and vendors. Live music throughout the day will also enhance the festivities.

"Over the years, Sault Ste. Marie has welcomed a variety of cultures," states Danny Krmpotich, Program Coordinator - Local Immigration Partnership.
