Multiculturalism Day celebrations will feature diverse cultural performances at the Centennial Library and the Art Gallery of Algoma on June 27 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. A welcome note by Mayor Provenzano, family activities and games, world art exhibits along with a BBQ and live music throughout the day will enhance the festivities.
"I am thrilled to see diverse groups come together to remember, share and celebrate. It is celebrations like these that promote prosperity in our community and create a sense of togetherness. Over the past few years, the City has welcomed a variety of cultures and this initiative aims at bringing the community together in a festive environment. Residents are invited to attend and experience the contributions of the various multicultural groups to the Canadian society," states Danny Krmpotich, Program Coordinator - Local Immigration Partnership.
