John Rowswell Hub Trail Launches Animated Web Portal

Monday, June 8, 2015

Community organizations have partnered with NORDIK Institute and the City of Sault Ste. Marie to gather information regarding the historical, cultural, and environmental ecosystems adjacent to the John Rowswell Hub Trail.

This information, including healthy active living, is now accessible through a web portal, mobile devices, and a trilingual (English, French and Anishinaabemowin) Trail Guide and Audio Tour.

The public is invited to celebrate the launch of the interactive animated web portal. The June 11 launch event starts at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion at 12 noon - gather and walk to the John Rowswell Park dedication stone (east of the Civic Centre) for the ribbon cutting ceremony.

People will be able to use mobile devices to access www.hubtrail.com once the ribbon is cut.

The John Rowswell Hub Trail is a non-motorized trail within the city limits, encouraging active and healthy living. The Trail is a 22.5 kilometer route.
