Election Day is Monday, February 1 for Ward 2 Residents

The municipal by-election to elect a City Councillor for Ward 2 will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, February 1, 2016. 'You Vote At' cards were mailed to residents in early January.
To be eligible to vote, you must be at least 18 years of age; a Canadian citizen; and a resident in Ward 2, or a non-resident owner/tenant or spouse of an owner/tenant of land in the municipality.
Voting by Proxy
Any qualified elector may appoint another person who is a qualified elector in the same municipality to vote on his/her behalf. Proxy forms are available at the City Clerk's office - 99 Foster Drive, but will only be certified until 4:30 p.m. on Voting Day.
Identification
Provincial law requires that voters provide identification showing their name, qualifying address as shown on the Voters List, and signature in order to receive a ballot. Your 'You Vote At' card is not an acceptable form of identification.
Accessibility
Tools to assist individuals with visual impairments will be available at all voting stations.
If you did not receive a 'You Vote At' card, you can still vote provided you have identification showing your name, qualifying address and signature - call the City Clerk's office at 705-759-5388 to determine where you vote.
