What's Open and Closed on Family Day

The following City facilities will be CLOSED Monday, February 15 due to the Family Day statutory holiday:

  • Cemetery office
  • Children's Centres (Jessie Irving, Maycourt, Best Start)
  • Civic Centre
  • Essar Centre office and Box Office
  • Public Library - Churchill and Korah branches
  • Public Works and Transportation administrative office
    • For 24 hour emergency service requests call 705-759-5201
  • Seniors' Centres (Drop-In and Steelton)
  • Social Services: OW, Housing, Community Child Care, and Accessibility
  • Transit office

Here's what's OPEN:

Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site Essar Centre
  • Wacky Wings Free Family Day Skate - 12:30 to 4 p.m.
  • Soo Thunderbirds vs. Soo Eagles - 7 p.m.
John Rhodes Arenas
  • Open 1-3 p.m. - Public Skating (arena 1).
John Rhodes Community Centre Pool
  • Open 11:15 a.m. - 1 p.m. for Lane Swim & 1- 3 p.m. for Public Swim.
McMeeken Centre Arena
  • Closed.
Northern Community Centre
  • Open for scheduled events.
Outdoor Rinks and Art Jennings Skating Oval
  • Open weather permitting.
Public Library
  • Centennial Library is open 1 - 4 p.m.
Refuse and Recycling
  • No collection Monday, February 15. Collection for the remainder of the week will be one day late.
  • Drop off your household hazardous waste at the City landfill (402 Fifth Line East) February 20 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a one-day event - free for city residents.
Transit Service
  • Regular transit will operate Monday, February 15 with hourly service leaving the terminal at quarter to the hour. Parabus service will run as usual. No Community Bus.
