The gala will take place at the Civic Centre between the hours of 7:30 to 11:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the door for $10, with proceeds going to support Children's ARCH. The event is open to all ages.
In addition to art and music, refreshments, hors d'oeuvres and desserts prepared by the hospitality programs at Superior Heights and St. Mary's College will be served.
"Our council is excited to be hosting this gala," says Shalom Omollo, the 2015-2016 MYAC chair. "We really wanted to have a "for youth, by youth event" to showcase some of the talented young artists in Sault Ste. Marie."
Mayor Christian Provenzano says, "It has been great to watch the youth council put together this event. They have made a tremendous effort to organize a really interesting gala which I expect will be a great success. Our youth have a lot to offer and I encourage everyone in the community to come out and support their efforts."
