Nominations Accepted Until December 17 for Christmas Lighting Awards

Nominations for the 15th Annual Christmas Lighting Awards Program are now being accepted by the City of Sault Ste. Marie Clerk's Department.

This program, co-sponsored by PUC Services Inc., encourages community pride and recognizes the efforts of residents who light up their homes and businesses in the spirit of the Christmas season.

There are two award categories - residential and business. In the Residential Category, two winners per ward will be selected. In the Business Category, three awards are presented citywide (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place). Judging of the nominated properties will take place the week prior to Christmas. Award plaques will be presented to the winners at a City Council meeting in January.

Submissions must include the civic address being nominated and the resident's name. The property owner or any resident can submit a nomination. The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, December 17.

Nomination forms are available online or from the City Clerk's Department, Level 4 - Civic Centre.
