Budget Input

The City of Sault Ste. Marie is inviting individuals, organizations and businesses to participate in the 2018 municipal budget process.

There are a number of ways to get involved in the conversation:

  • Attend a public open house budget session on Wednesday, September 13 from 5 - 6 p.m. at the Northern Community Centre meeting room or on Thursday, September 14 from 5 - 6 p.m. at the Civic Centre - 99 Foster Drive in the Russ Ramsay Board Room. City staff will be available to answer questions on a one-on-one basis.
  • Provide budget feedback to the City's social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter using the handle @CitySSM or #saultbudget
  • Call the Finance Department office at 705-759-5350 or fax ideas to 705-759-8447
  • Mail suggestions to:

Budget Input Tool

Use our online tool to indicate the areas you would like to see tax dollars utilized. Upon entering basic property tax information, the tool allows you to increase or decrease the amount of money you believe should be committed to specific services.

Note: The amount and distribution of your actual property taxes will not change as a result of using this tool.

The deadline to submit input using the budget tool is September 30.
