Moments in Algoma - A Group of Seven Experience

At the Ermatinger•Clergue National Historic Site we offer a full evening based on the Group of Seven and their ties to this area.

The evening begins in our Heritage Discovery Centre with the 25 minute theatrical production "Moments in Algoma", a one man show inspired by the letters and reflections of the founding members of the Group of Seven during their first visits to Algoma in 1918.

Following the show guests are welcome into the Ermatinger Old Stone House where a three course dinner is served next to the hearth. The dinner is themed to a "boxcar" menu and servers are primed with anecdotal tales about the men and their years painting in the Agawa Canyon and along the north shore of Lake Superior.

This truly is a unique immersive evening of theatre, local history and conversation over a homestyle meal.

Seven men captured their time in Algoma. Capture Yours!
