The City of Sault Ste. Marie provides training to all staff for Accessible Customer Service, Integrated Accessibility Standard Regulations, and Ontario Human Rights Code as it relates to disabilities.
Accessible Customer Service Information for Contractors
Sault Ste. Marie By-law states:
All Bidders, Suppliers and Contractors who provide Goods, Services or Construction to the City shall comply with the Accessibility for Ontarians Act, 2005, and all Regulations emanating therefrom.
Prior to the commencement of work on a City property or as required by the Commissioner or Agent, a Contractor must be compliant with the requirements of the City’s Contractor Pre-Qualification Program as established by the Human Resources Department.
